Eutaw

It’s easy to overlook this small city, in fact I think many have. It looks a bit stuck in the past-but I love that, if I’m honest. This city is pulling itself up by its bootstraps after some tornado damage last week but it has the look and feel of a place that knows how to do just that.

I had to do some business at found myself at the Town Hall (not City Hall) and a lovely, friendly woman chatted with me as she was sassing the gentleman assisting me. She handed me a pin commemorating the city of Eutaw, and then told me I’d just met the Mayor! When I asked to shake her hand, she did so and then said she’d give me a hug-and did! What a lovely woman.

It is evident that THE place to be around 4:30-5:00 is the Piggly Wiggly; I confess I had never been in one and of course-we checked it out. (thinking of ‘Driving Miss Daisy’, of course). Eutaw may be rough around the edges, but the people have a lot of heart.
